Flooding in Japan, September 2015

Torrential rain caused flash flooding in 2 prefectures north of Tokyo, Japan on Thursday, September 10, 2015. The region had already received heavy rain for several weeks before the remnants of Typhoon Etau swept into the area this week. Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures are experiencing flash flooding and landslides. Approximately 200,000 people have been advised to evacuate their homes as rain continues.
