ImageCat forms REDARS(tm) Group Joint Venture with SSEC
Long Beach, CA - April, 2007. ImageCat has entered into a Joint Venture agreement with Seismic Systems & Engineering Consultants (SSEC) to collaborate in future activities related to the dissemination, maintenance, support, application, and further development of the REDRAS(tm) software. The Joint Venture is named "REDARS(tm) Group".
REDARS(tm) is a software package that estimates earthquake damage to highway-roadway systems nationwide, and the effects of this damage on system-wide travel times and traffic flows. Transportation and planning agencies use REDARS(tm) as a pre-event planning tool to assess relative benefits of alternative risk-mitigation strategies in reducing economic and accessibility losses from earthquake-induced traffic congestion. REDARS(tm) is also used as a post-event emergency-response tool in real time, to assess alternative detour routes and traffic management strategies and to prioritize repair and reconstruction.
Ronald. T. Eguchi of ImageCat and Stuart D. Werner of Seismic Systems & Engineering Consultants are jointly responsible for all Joint Venture contractual and financial obligations and decisions. Mr. Werner will serve as the Technical Director for the Joint Venture.
