Ron Eguchi will chair a special ASTM subcommittee to standardize seismic fragility formulations for water transmission systems Long Beach, CA - January 21, 2002. Ron Eguchi has accepted the assignment of chairing a special subcommittee of ASTM
that will standardize “seismic fragility formulations for water transmission systems.” This activity is being conducted under the auspices of the American
Lifelines Alliance, a public-private partnership between the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
The goal of this effort is to standardize procedures for evaluating the probability of earthquake damage to water transmission systems.
