Ron Eguchi is appointed to the Department of the Interior's Scientific Earthquake Studies Advisory Committee Long Beach, CA - January 8, 2002. Ron Eguchi has been appointed to a three-year term
to serve on the Department of the Interior’s Scientific Earthquake Studies Advisory Committee. The purpose of this committee
is to advise the Director of USGS on matters relating to the USGS’s participation in the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction
Program, including the USGS’s roles, goals and objectives within that Program, its capabilities and research needs, guidance on
achieving major objectives, and establishing necessary performance objectives.
