ImageCat releases report assessing remote sensing data use after September 11th

Long Beach, CA - September 2002.   ImageCat authors Charles Huyck and Dr. Beverley Adams have recently completed Emergency Response in the Wake of World Trade Center Attacks: The Remote Sensing Perspective, providing a comprehensive analysis and recommendations of the use of remote sensing after September 11th. Coordinating the massive response in a dense but small area made the combination of imagery and mapped data very useful. The result was a breakthrough for remote sensing technology in emegency management.

With funding from NSF, MCEER initiated the research as part of the series Engineering and Organizational Issues Related to The World Trade Center Terrorist Attack. The report is available for purchase or download from the MCEER Publications site.
