Storm Boris, Europe, September 2024

A large storm created widespread flooding throughout Europe, including Romania, Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and northeast and central Italy. The storm, officially named Boris, began over central and eastern Europe beginning the weekend of September 14, caused extensive damage to infrastructure and tens of thousands of buildings, and killed 27 people.
