Typhoon Yagi, Southeast Asia. September 2024

Typhoon Yagi brought torrential rain and damaging winds to Southeast Asia, first making landfall in the Philippines before moving over southern China, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos. Northern Vietnam, where the storm came ashore on September 7, sustained the most damage. Almost three hundred people were killed and 237,000 homes were destroyed.
