Flooding Southern England

14 Feb 2014

Record setting rain beginning in December and continuing through February has caused flooding in large swaths of southern England. Parts of the county of Somerset in southwestern England have been under water for weeks. Areas along the Thames in Berkshire and Surrey began to flood in the last few days. An estimated 5,800 properties have been inundated in total. The Environment Agency has predicted more rain and flooding in the region in the coming days.
