Storms in Texas and Oklahoma, May 2015

26 May 2015

Torrential rains over Memorial Day weekend caused flooding in portions of Oklahoma and central Texas.  The storms brought flash flooding to Texas, including Houston and Austin. The southwestern portions of Houston and the City of San Marcos were hit especially hard.  Hundreds of homes are damaged or destroyed and thousands of people are still without electricity throughout the state.

A tornado caused large scale damage to Ciudad Abbott, a Mexican town on the border of Texas, killing 13 people and damaging or destroying hundreds of homes.
