Tropical Cyclone Winston made landfall as a category 5 storm on the island nation of Fiji on Saturday, February 20, 2016. The current death toll is at 20, although it is expected to rise when contact is resumed with hard-hit outlying islands. Some islands, including Koro Island, are reporting extensive damage to homes and infrastructure.

The cyclone is currently a Category 4 storm and is moving toward Vanuatu’s southern Tafea province.
