Tornadoes, Louisiana, February 2017

Multiple tornadoes touched down in southeast Louisiana on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. The tornadoes were part of a severe weather system moving through Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. The largest tornado, registering EF3, touched down in New Orleans East, damaging neighborhoods. Several homes were heavily damaged or completely destroyed. At least 2 dozen people were injured, but there were no fatalities.
