Southeast Asia Flooding, August 2017

Heavy monsoon rains have devastated parts of Southeast Asia this summer. Over 41 million people in Bangladesh, India and Nepal have been impacted by flooding and landslides. Thousands of homes have been destroyed, substantial crops lost, and over a thousand flood related deaths reported. Millions of people have been displaced and many others are in villages cut off from clean water and food. In India Mumbai, a significant financial center, has been hit hard with rain and flooding.
