M7.1 Earthquake in Mexico, September 2017

A magnitude 7.1 earthquake struck the central Mexican state of Puebla on Tuesday, September 19. The epicenter was about 2.8 miles east-northeast of San Juan Raboso, 34.1 miles south-southwest of the city of Puebla, and about 75 miles from Mexico City. Considerable damage to buildings and infrastructure occurred in the region, including Mexico City. At least 300 people were killed.
