Flooding and landslides in southwestern Japan

Flooding and landslides killed at least 122 people after record heavy rains fell across the southwestern part of during the week of July 1, 2017. Thousands of homes are damaged and thousands are without power. The government announced that two million people are currently displaced. The prefectures of Hiroshima and Ehime were the most heavily impacted.
