Typhoon Jebi in Japan, September 2018

Typhoon Jebi made landfall in western Japan on Tuesday, September 04, 2018. The storm, the strongest to make landfall in Japan for 25 years, initially made landfall on Shikoku Island before moving across the archipelago’s largest island of Honshu. The storm has killed 11 people and caused extensive damage. It has been downgraded to a low-pressure system but continues to lash northern and eastern Japan with strong winds and rain.
