Communities in the Missouri River Basin are reeling from devastating flooding caused by heavy rainfall and rapid snowmelt after being hit with an intense winter storm, coined a “Bomb Cyclone.” Thousands of structures are destroyed, infrastructure is badly damaged and agriculture has taken a severe hit. Officials report that damage costs are over $1.3 billion dollars.
