ImageCat Executive Vice President Charles K. Huyck presented at the conference At What Point Managed Retreat? Resilience Building in the Coastal Zone which took place June 19 – 21, 2019 at Columbia University in the City of New York. Mr. Huyck’s presentation was titled Resilience Building in the Coastal Zone Assessing exposure and resilience with CRISP: The Coastal Risk Investment Strategy Program.

Sea level rise will substantially impact coastal communities in the coming decades and asset managers who understand the extent of their exposure will be in the best position to adapt to change through mitigation and diversification. CRISP reports are developed by ImageCat in close coordination with asset managers in order to reduce their exposure to direct damage from coastal flooding and storm surge, as well as the secondary impacts of low accrual rates in vulnerable real estate markets.
