Topical Storm Imelda, southeastern Texas, Sept 2019

Tropical Storm Imelda made landfall in southeastern Texas on September 17, 2019. The slow moving storm inundated the region with rain for days, dumping up to forty inches in some areas. This caused widespread flooding in Houston and some surrounding communities, although in Houston it was largely street flooding. At least five deaths are attributed to the storm and hundreds of homes and buildings sustained damage.
