ImageCat’s Executive Vice President and Founder Charles K. Huyck participated in a two day Nigeria GEO Human Planet workshop to investigate the use of EO data for advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the Sendai framework. The workshop was funded by NASA and jointly hosted by the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN) and the National Space Research and Development Agency (NSRDA). The workshop was held in Abuja, Nigeria November 14-15th, 2019.

The Human Planet Initiative of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) strives to address the need for improved understanding and modeling of population distribution and to create better tools for decision making in support of sustainable development through the utilization of new data sources, technologies and analytic approaches.
