M6.4 Earthquake in Puerto Rico, Jan 2020

A M6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Puerto Rico early Tuesday, January 7, 2020. The epicenter of the quake was between the towns of Ponce and Guanica. Widespread power and water outages are being reported along the southern region and many homes were damaged or destroyed. One death has been reported.

Hundreds of smaller quakes have struck the region in the last two weeks, including a damaging 5.8M quake the previous day.
